About Bees & Honey

worker-bee.pngBee is an insect. Insect belong to the Class Insecta. They are usually small, and makes up the biggest number of the Phylum Arthropoda. Insects have an adult stage charaterised by three pairs of legs and a body segmented into three regions, the head, thorax and abdomen. They are usually have two pairs of wings. They have membranous wings, mostly with veins, some are social insects and some solitary, many have a modified egg-laying organ as sting. The bees are winged, hairy-bodied, usually stinging insects of the Superfamily Apoidea, including both solitary and social species and characterized by sucking nectar and pollen. A bumble bee is solitary while honey bees are social insect.
